Jury Selection

The weakness of your case are going to come out sooner or later, so it is important for you to be the first to get them out before opposing counsel.

This starts in voir dire and continues during opening statement.  This is due to the fact that if the Northern / Southern California accident attorney is the first lawyer to discuss a weakness in his case it will not look like he is trying to hide something or otherwise mislead the jury.

This gains credibility for the Southern / Northern California accident attorney identifying the weakness in his case. Further, the California accident attorney has the opportunity to explain the weakness in the most favorable light to his client. Following the axiom that it is best to start strong and finish strong, weaknesses are best discussed briefly, during the middle of voir dire.
